Owner: David Benton

Concord, NC

David is one of those rare and outstanding people who makes a decision and sticks with it. He is the owner and operator of Benton’s Body Shop in Kannapolis where he has been making people happy for forty years in the same location repairing their vehicles when they’ve had a mishap. He is also an inspection station for the State required inspections.

He is a student, and ex-instructor, of Karate. He’s a Fourth Degree Black Belt in a variation of nine different styles, even though he has six different black belts. I’ll just say this, he’s a man I want on my side if we’re choosing sides.

We all have reasons for having the cars that we have. David received his driver’s license in 1967 and has three 1967 model vehicles in his collection. One is the beautiful Marina Blue 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport two-door hardtop pictured here.

As you might expect, the paint and body work is flawless. The car features a 454 cubic inch engine, power steering, power brakes and factory air conditioning.

Just to show that he isn’t partial to any one manufacturer, he also has a 1967 Ford Fairlane GTA in it’s original Pebble Beige color. His daily driver is a 1967 Chevrolet step-side pickup in it’s original red. He also has a black Harley with traditional red, yellow and white flames. For a long term project, he’s working on restoring a 1955 Chevrolet post model coupe.

He’s a true “car guy” and a “good guy” and someone you should go and see for your vehicle inspections and repair of your dents and dings should you have any that need to be repaired. I’m proud to be able to call him my friend and you would be too.
