Jerry and Phyllis are a really neat car couple. They have an exceptionally nice 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door hardtop “mild custom”
in Cashmere Blue and Indian Ivory. The interior is mostly white interior and is very typical of what customs had “back in the day.”
There are three carburetors and a lot of chrome in the engine compartment.
I know they drive the car because I see them at a lot of car shows,
but you wouldn’t know the car has ever been driven by looking at it. You can tell how much they like the car by the magnificent job they do of maintaining it.
Now comes the interesting part of the story. Jerry thought he wanted a full-fendered Hot Rod, but in their pursuit of his Hot Rod,
they found the ’55 Chevy and it just popped for both of them. Consequently, Phyllis wound up with a “Custom” neither of them knew they wanted.
Now before you get to feeling too sorry for Jerry, he has a very nice, and very fast, blue Viper. They both seem very happy!
