Every bit of Randi’s ’51 Merc is custom and cool! It has a lot of custom work that is very typical including
the corners of the hood being rounded and the chrome being removed. Now for a way out custom,
this Merc has six ’59 Cadillac taillights mounted vertically in extended fenders!
The car, named “Poison Ivy”, is all done in very striking and very bright green.
It even has green neon lights under it for night time cruising.
Check out the interior and pay particular attention to the center council. It’s awesome!
Although this car was not built by Sam Barris, it carries his approval by way of his signature
on the continental wheel cover. Randi drives this beautiful custom down from Alberta, Canada
to Reno, NV every year for Hot August Nights and often continues on to other car shows in California.
Randi is my idea of a real “Car Guy.”
