This is the real deal! John’s 1948 Ford Woodie has been maintained as original as possible and he drives it!
Not only does it have the typical surfboards on top,
but it also has the travel stickers on the rear windows that were so popular in the fifties.
This Woodie is a great reminder of how things were back in the day.
I have seen John and his fine Woodie at Hot August Nights for years and several times he’s been an award winner,
including 2012. It’s really quite an honor to win an award at that event,
because there are somewhere around 6,500 cars registered each year.
That should tell you all you need to know about John’s car.
This year I saw John and his grandson Nick enjoying not only the car and the event,
but good quality time together. I say that’s what it’s all about!
